Dare to Dream Theatre is thankful for so many wonderful things:
In 2022:
-We were able to safely return to the stage after 2 years of dark stages.
-We worked directly with over 150 young people through onstage activities (Winnie the Pooh KIDS, Moana JR, Freaky Friday, and three summer camps)
-We spread joy through performances to over 2000 audience members
-We were blessed to collaborate with 18 organizations in the community (and state) through community events, summer camps, consultation, and interactive programming
-We built relationships and worked directly with 32 theatre and education professionals in Wisconsin and across the United States
In 2023:
-Our Winter show (Jungle Book KIDS) featured a cast of 30 young performers age 3-14
-Our Spring show (Finding Nemo JR) featured a cast of 64 performers age 3-14
-Tuck Everlasting featured a cast of 19 advanced performers and a live orchestra.
-Summer Mini Musical Camp (Finding Nemo KIDS) provided opportunities for 32 performers age 18 and under to get involved onstage, offstage, and in production team roles
-In the Fall, Fancy Nancy the Musical featured 2 casts and welcomed school and public audiences.
2024 we welcomed individuals of all ages onstage, offstage, in the audience and through non traditional programming. :
-We presented a FULL season of musicals, plays, camps, community collaborations, and educational partnerships in our community.
-The Student Theatre Celebration featured students from the area showcasing their accomplishments in school and community theatre at The Weill Center April 13 2024 and welcomed Broadway and Hollywood star Timothy Hughes to Sheboygan to inspire participants and lead a dance workshop.
In 2025 we look forward to
-another FULL season of musicals, plays, camps, community collaborations and educational partnerships in our community.
- bringing a small team of young performers to present a 15 minute cutting of “Wizard of Oz Young Performers Edition”
-Fall onstage opportunities will provide a chance for beginning and advanced performers to showcase their talents onstage and through many non traditional programming opportunities.

Dare to Dream Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization rooted in education and dedicated to bringing joy to children through theater. We help empower young people to find their voices and share them with the world. Your support will help us continue to fulfill our mission of enriching the minds and spirits of children in our community and beyond.
A $10,000 gift will cover costs for the one of the following:
-development of a TVY production
-costume, prop and set costs for one show
A $5000 gift will cover the costs of Licensing, Scripts, and Royalties for one mainstage production.
Dare to Dream Theatre produces 3-4 Mainstage productions each season.
a gift of $2500 will cover the costs for a year long TVY partnership with a library, preschool, daycare, or other partner organization that serves young families.
Such a partnership includes:
9 Creative Play Dates
1 interactive TVY (Theater for the Very Young) performance
A donation of $1000 will cover the cost of one of the following;
-scripts and orchestra book/music track rental or purchase for one musical production
-one month rent for dedicated office and rehearsal space (We do not yet have a dedicated rehearsal and office space in Sheboygan so this is a stretch goal)
A Donation of $500 will cover the costs of one of the following:
-Liscensing costs for one Mainstage Production (Covers 1-2 performances of the run of a Mainstage Production)
-Rehearsal Venue Rent for Tech week of one production (5 rehearsals in the Performance Venue)
A donation of $250 will cover the costs for one of the following;
-1 Early Literacy Creative Play Date for youngsters age 18 months to 6 years old and their grown ups.
-Annual Membership fees for TYA/USA, AATE, or AWTE
-Scholarship to cover the Festival Fee for 1 young performer participating in the National Performing Arts Festival
a donation of $100 will cover the costs for one of the following:
-provide a scholarship for a young performer in a Dare to Dream Theatre Production
-provide a partial scholarship for a young performer in a Dare to Dream Theatre Camp
-Purchase lumber for one small set piece or one segment of a backdrop (¾ inch plywood, 2x4s, screws, and casters to create a 4x8 rolling platform)
-
A $50 donation will help in one of the following ways:
-Purchase materials for one costume in one show
-Provide tickets for a family of four to attend a Dare to Dream Theatre Production
A donation of $25 will cover one of the following costs:
-a gallon of paint for the set
-tickets for one adult and one child to attend a Dare to Dream Theatre production
-rent for one 45 minute rehearsal
-1-2 yards of fabric for a costume
-Batteries for body mics for one rehearsal or performance
-cleaning supplies
-1 gallon of laundry detergent
